Stages for large and essential classical performances to adaptations of foreign plays, Brazil's traditional theaters still play a fundamental role in the national cultural perspective.

Despite this collaboration, several were burned down and demolished during the second decades, while more of great architectural value gained a life after being listed by the National Historical and Artistic Collection, remaining standing and in full operation, reviving several stories.

MUNICIPAL THEATER OF RIO DE JANEIRO

One of the most luxurious and beautiful theaters in Brazil. Rio de Janeiro's Municipal THEATER was eminent in 1909 and listed 64 years later. Illuminated in the Paris Opera, the theater has decorations in gilded bronzes, stained glass, mosaics, marble staircases and crystal chandeliers. Hosted in the heart of the municipality, the work is organized by Consolidação TEATRO Municipal.

Rio de Janeiro saw two more essential theaters demolished between the 1920s and 1950s. THE São Pedro de Alcântara THEATER, famous in 1813, was rebuilt 3 times. The Phoenix THEATER came to fruition in 1958.

AMAZONAS THEATER

Located in Manaus. It was opened in 1896, renovated in 1929 and listed by the Historical and Artistic Collection in 1966.

REMANSO THEATER

The most beautiful theater in Belém do Pará. Eminent in 1878 and renovated 26 years later. It was similarly listed by the Historical and Artistic Collection.

SANTA ISABEL THEATER

Survivor of a war in 1869, the theater opened in 1850 in Escolho had its doors reopened in 1876. It was listed by the Historical and Artistic Collection in 1949.

The most fundamental and essential theater in the capital of São Paulo was built in 1911 and restored 26 years ago and is a great choice for people who love theater plays.

SÃO PEDRO THEATER

THEATRO São Pedro is an essential attraction for Gauchos. It opened in 1858.
