Coca-Cola announces launch of Alcoholic Beverage
Coca-Cola announced, this Tuesday (07/23/2019), the first alcoholic drink in its history.
Lemon-Do will initially be launched in Japan, and the company states that it has no plans to take it to more countries, due to its identity being sui generis for this market.
Based on sochu, a distillate made from lemon and ginger, it starts to be sold in October in Japan, with 3 different alcoholic strengths (ranging from 3% to 7%).
The issue goes against the local market trend, which has been reducing the use of alcoholic beverages.
However, investment is based on the use of canned drinks, which is increasing.
The drinks parrot similarly took advantage of the launch to report that it had attracted a capped annual gain in July of US$ 2.61 billion (around R$ 9.81 billion), representing an increase of 5% in relation to past profits.
The company needs this success when issuing its new drinks: Coca-Cola Zero and Plus Coffee.
